چکیده

In this paper we attempt to analyze the problem of centrally allocating tasks to selfinterested agents in environments characterized by high uncertainty. The analysis is based on equilibrium dynamics, taking into account the agents’ short-term and long-term considerations. The model reflects a rich realism by allowing both tasks and agents to dynamically arrive in the environment. This is correlated with real life scenarios where agents take part in a continuous process while having only partial information concerning the different world states and other agents’ capabilities. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the equilibrium we present innovative algorithms that significantly facilitate the extraction of the agents’ strategies for any specific settings. The findings are illustrated computationally and compared with parallel mechanisms for allocating the tasks in a closed environment and in a centralized enforceable manner.

An Analysis the Effect of Capital Taxation on Allocation of Resources: A Dynamic Equilibrium Model Approach

Abstract T he return of capital is fundamental to the intertemporal allocation of resources by changing the consumption behavior and capital accumulation over time. Taxation on return of capital increases the marginal product of capital, meaning that capital stock is lower than when capital is not taxed, which results decreased growth and welfare in steady state. This pape...

A Robust Scenario Based Approach in an Uncertain Condition Applied to Location-Allocation Distribution Centers Problem

The paper discusses the location-allocation model for logistic networks and distribution centers through considering uncertain parameters. In real-world cases, demands and transshipment costs change over the period of the time. This may lead to large cost deviation in total cost. Scenario based robust optimization approaches are proposed where occurrence probability of each scenario is not know...

An Auction-Based Approach for Group Task Allocation in an Open Network Environment

To solve the problem of group task allocation with time constraints in open and dynamic network environments, this paper proposes a decentralized combinatorial auction-based approach for group task allocation. In the proposed approach, both resource providers and consumers are modeled as intelligent agents. The proposed approach is decentralized, so all the agents are limited to communicating w...

Solving the Auction-Based Task Allocation Problem in an Open Environment

In this paper we analyze the process of allocating tasks to self-interested agents in uncertain changing open environments. The allocator in our model is responsible for the performance of dynamically arriving tasks using a second price reverse auction as the allocation protocol. Since the agents are self-interested (i.e. each agent attempts to maximize its own revenue), previous models concern...

A negotiation-based method for task allocation with time constraints in open grid environments

This paper addresses the task allocation problem in an open, dynamic grid environments and service-oriented environments. In such environments, both grid/service providers and consumers can be modelled as intelligent agents. These agents can leave and enter the environment freely at any time. Task allocation under time constraints becomes a challenging issue in such environments because it is d...
